Privacy Policy, Notice at Collection & U.S. Consumer Privacy Notice

Effective Date: January 1, 2026

CA HOME LOANS ("CA HOME LOANS," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting personal information collected through CAHOMELOANS.CO, our online forms, our communications, our advertising activities, and our mortgage-related consultation, pre-qualification, referral, and loan-origination activities. This document is drafted for website use and is intended to function together as: (1) a general website Privacy Policy, (2) a California Notice at Collection, (3) a U.S. Consumer Privacy Notice for financial privacy disclosures, and (4) a public-facing summary of our information security practices.

This policy is intended to be broad enough to reflect the technologies and channels CA HOME LOANS may use now or later, including website forms, CRM systems, email, text messaging, phone calls, Calendly scheduling tools, Meta Pixel, Google Ads, call tracking tools, artificial intelligence tools used for record-keeping or note-taking, and organic or paid social media marketing on platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, and TikTok.

This policy does not replace any separate disclosures, authorizations, consents, e-sign agreements, rate disclosures, secure portal notices, credit authorization forms, testimonial releases, or other notices that may be required in connection with a specific mortgage transaction, application, lead source, vendor platform, or regulated financial activity.

1. Scope and Applicability

This policy applies to personal information collected from or about consumers, visitors, leads, applicants, borrowers, coborrowers, guarantors, referral partners, and other individuals who interact with CA HOME LOANS through any of the following:

  • CAHOMELOANS.CO and any landing pages, embedded forms, widgets, calculators, and related digital properties that we own, operate, or control;
  • contact forms, lead forms, pre-qualification forms, appointment requests, consultation requests, and mortgage inquiry forms;
  • Calendly or similar scheduling platforms embedded on or linked from our site;
  • phone calls, text messages, voicemail, email, direct messages, chat tools, and similar communications;
  • digital advertising, analytics, pixels, cookies, tags, tracking technologies, and remarketing tools;
  • social media pages, profiles, accounts, campaigns, direct messages, posts, stories, reels, videos, testimonials, and advertisements on Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, TikTok, and similar platforms;
  • service providers, technology vendors, referral partners, lenders, brokers, processors, title or escrow companies, and other parties involved in providing or supporting mortgage-related services.

This policy does not govern third-party websites, platforms, applications, lender portals, consumer reporting agencies, or service providers except to the extent required by applicable law or expressly described here. Those third parties may maintain their own privacy policies, notices, and terms.

2. California Notice at Collection

At or before the point we collect personal information online, California law requires that we inform consumers of the categories of personal information we collect and the purposes for which that information may be used. CA HOME LOANS may collect the categories of personal information listed in this document for the business and commercial purposes described below. We do not collect additional categories of personal information or use personal information for materially different, unrelated, or incompatible purposes without providing any notice required by law.

Categories of Personal Information We May Collect

  • Identifiers and contact information, such as name, alias, email address, phone number, mailing address, property address, online identifiers, IP address, username, and similar identifiers.
  • Mortgage inquiry, transaction, and customer record information, such as property type, occupancy intent, financing goals, loan amount, mortgage terms, refinance objectives, communications history, and records relating to products or services requested or considered.
  • Financial and professional information, such as income, assets, liabilities, employment, occupation, business information, credit-related information, and other information relevant to evaluating mortgage options or structuring a loan scenario.
  • Sensitive personal information where reasonably necessary and permitted by law, such as Social Security number, driver's license or government identifier information, financial account information, precise data submitted in a secure application process, and contents of communications when applicable.
  • Internet or other electronic network activity information, such as browsing history, search history, pages viewed, clicks, referral source, device identifiers, operating system, timestamps, interaction with advertisements, and interaction with website content or embedded tools.
  • Approximate geolocation data derived from IP address, device data, network data, or location features you permit.
  • Audio, electronic, visual, and similar information, such as voicemail, call recordings, transcripts, screen captures, video submissions, photographs, testimonial recordings, and communications logs where permitted by law.
  • Inferences drawn from the information above, such as likely home financing interest, service preferences, advertising engagement, or other characteristics relevant to customer service, follow-up, compliance, or marketing.

Business and Commercial Purposes for Collection and Use

  • to respond to inquiries, provide consultations, and communicate about mortgage products, services, rates, pre-qualification, refinancing, or home purchase financing;
  • to schedule appointments, follow up with leads, maintain CRM records, and provide customer support;
  • to evaluate mortgage-related requests, collect documentation, facilitate applications, and support processing, underwriting, closing, or related services;
  • to operate, secure, maintain, improve, personalize, troubleshoot, and analyze our website, forms, advertisements, communications, and technology systems;
  • to measure campaign performance, conversion activity, advertising effectiveness, and audience engagement, including through Meta Pixel, Google Ads, and similar tools;
  • to support organic and paid social media marketing, content distribution, retargeting, audience building, brand promotion, and business development;
  • to maintain records, prevent fraud, detect unauthorized activity, comply with legal, licensing, audit, record-keeping, and regulatory obligations, and protect our rights, business, users, and the public.

3. Sources of Personal Information

We may collect personal information from one or more of the following categories of sources:

  • directly from you, including when you submit a form, schedule a meeting, call, text, email, send a direct message, provide documents, or otherwise communicate with us;
  • automatically from your browser, device, or use of our website, ads, forms, pages, widgets, and content;

  • from social media platforms and related engagement activity, including messages, ad interactions, comments, shares, story interactions, lead forms, and related signals generated through Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, TikTok, or similar services.

4. Cookies, Pixels, Analytics, Ads, and Embedded Tools

We may use cookies, pixels, tags, scripts, local storage, analytics tools, advertising technologies, session tools, embedded content, scheduling widgets, and similar technologies to operate our website, remember preferences, analyze traffic, measure campaign effectiveness, improve the user experience, manage lead generation, build audiences, support remarketing, and detect security or performance issues.

Because CA HOME LOANS may use Meta Pixel, Google Ads, and similar advertising or attribution tools, information about your interactions with our site or ads may be collected, observed, or made available for advertising measurement, conversion tracking, audience development, retargeting, or cross-context behavioral advertising, subject to applicable law.

If you interact with an embedded Calendly widget or similar appointment tool, information you submit may be processed both by us and by the service provider operating that tool under its own privacy practices and terms. Embedded services may also place cookies or similar tracking technologies on your browser or device when loaded.

You may be able to control certain cookies through your browser settings, device settings, or any consent management tools or opt-out tools made available on our website. Disabling certain cookies or similar technologies may affect website functionality or your user experience.

5. Sale, Sharing, Targeted Advertising, and Opt-Out Rights

CA HOME LOANS does not sell personal information for money. However, because California law defines "sale" and "sharing" broadly, our use of advertising and analytics tools such as Meta Pixel, Google Ads, and similar technologies may constitute "sharing" personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising in some circumstances.

If and to the extent required by applicable law, California residents may have the right to opt out of the sharing of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. CA HOME LOANS may make that right available through a website footer link, cookie settings tool, consent banner, privacy request form, browser-based preference signal processing where legally required, or another lawful opt-out mechanism.

We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of minors under 18 years of age without affirmative authorization where required by law.

6. Social Media, Content, Testimonials, and Likeness

CA HOME LOANS may use social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn, and similar channels to promote the business organically and through paid advertising, boosted content, retargeting, lead generation campaigns, or other marketing activity.

If you voluntarily engage with our content, send us messages, comment on our posts, submit information through a social platform, appear in photos or videos with us, or otherwise interact with our business through social media, we may collect and use that information in accordance with this policy and the applicable platform's own privacy practices.

If a client, customer, consumer, referral partner, or other individual separately agrees to provide a testimonial, review, interview, quote, photo, video, audio recording, or similar content, CA HOME LOANS may use that person's name, voice, image, likeness, statements, biographical details, city, transaction experience, and related content in marketing, advertising, social media posts, website content, paid ads, print materials, and other promotional uses, consistent with the scope of the consent, release, or authorization provided.

Where required or appropriate, CA HOME LOANS may request a separate written consent, testimonial release, media release, or likeness authorization before using a person's testimonial, photo, video, audio, or related content in marketing or advertising. Nothing in this policy is intended to replace any separate media or testimonial release form.

7. How We Disclose Personal Information

Subject to applicable law, we may disclose personal information to the following categories of recipients:

  • lenders, mortgage brokers, investors, underwriters, processors, title companies, escrow providers, appraisers, and other mortgage transaction participants;
  • website hosts, cloud providers, cybersecurity vendors, CRM providers, email and text vendors, phone systems, call tracking vendors, AI note-taking or transcription vendors, storage providers, and scheduling providers;
  • advertising, analytics, attribution, marketing automation, and social media platform providers;
  • professional advisers such as attorneys, accountants, auditors, compliance consultants, and insurance providers;
  • government agencies, courts, regulators, law enforcement, and similar parties where disclosure is required or permitted by law;
  • successor entities or counterparties involved in a merger, financing, sale, restructuring, acquisition, or transfer of assets or operations.

We may also disclose information to protect against fraud, unauthorized transactions, misuse, security threats, wrongdoing, or legal claims, or to otherwise exercise or defend legal rights.

8. Calls, Texts, Emails, Recordings, and AI Note-Taking

If you provide contact information, we and our service providers may contact you by phone, email, text message, direct message, or similar means regarding your inquiry, appointment, transaction, application, requested services, or related business purposes, subject to applicable law. Consent to receive marketing texts or calls is not a condition of receiving services or credit.

CA HOME LOANS may use call tracking tools, voicemail systems, transcription tools, and artificial intelligence tools for note-taking, summarization, quality assurance, compliance support, internal recordkeeping, training, workflow management, and follow-up. We will not intentionally record or transcribe confidential communications without any consent required by applicable law. If recording, transcription, or AI note-taking is used, consent may be obtained through verbal notice, written consent, platform notice, recorded prompt, or another lawful method. If you do not consent, please notify us and request an alternative communication method such as email.

9. U.S. Consumer Privacy Notice for Financial Information

This section is intended to function as a consumer financial privacy notice describing, at a general level, how CA HOME LOANS may collect, use, protect, and disclose nonpublic personal information in connection with mortgage-related financial products and services. The types of personal information we collect and share depend on the product or service you have with us or request from us. This information can include, for example:

  • Social Security number, income, employment information, assets, liabilities, account information, and credit-related information;
  • mortgage rates, loan terms, property information, payment history, transaction details, and application information;
  • credit history, credit scores, verification results, and information obtained from credit bureaus or other lawful third-party sources.

We may collect this information when you apply for a loan, request information, provide account or contact information, provide employment or income information, submit documents, communicate with us, or interact with others involved in a mortgage transaction. We may also collect information from credit bureaus, lenders, brokers, affiliates, service providers, public records, verification vendors, and other lawful sources.

Federal law permits financial companies to share personal information as necessary to run their everyday business. Accordingly, CA HOME LOANS may disclose nonpublic personal information for our everyday business purposes, such as to process transactions, maintain records, respond to legal process, report to credit bureaus, service accounts, prevent fraud, support compliance, and as otherwise permitted by law. We may also share information for our marketing purposes, for joint marketing with financial companies, with service providers performing services on our behalf, and with other parties as permitted by federal and state law.

If CA HOME LOANS has affiliates, we may share information with affiliates as permitted by law. If CA HOME LOANS does not maintain affiliates at a given time, references in this section to affiliates are intended to preserve flexibility for future lawful business structuring and are not a representation that any current affiliate relationship exists.

We do not represent that every category of sharing can be limited in every circumstance. Federal law gives consumers the right to limit only certain types of sharing, such as some sharing related to creditworthiness information, affiliate marketing, or nonaffiliates marketing to you, depending on the circumstances and the company's actual practices. State laws may give you additional rights.

To protect your personal information from unauthorized access and use, we use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to comply with applicable law and reflect the sensitivity of the information involved. These safeguards may include secure systems, access restrictions, training, monitoring, secure document handling, and other protective measures.

When you are no longer our customer, we may continue to share your information as described in this notice to the extent permitted by law.

10. California and Other State Privacy Rights

To the extent applicable under state law, consumers may have the right to request that we disclose categories of personal information collected, categories of sources, business or commercial purposes, categories of recipients, specific pieces of personal information, and categories of information shared for targeted advertising or similar purposes. Consumers may also have the right to request deletion, correction of inaccurate personal information, opt out of certain sharing, limit certain uses of sensitive personal information where applicable, and not receive discriminatory treatment for exercising rights.

To submit a privacy request, you may contact CA HOME LOANS at adam@cahomeloans.co or 530-632-8001. We may require information sufficient to verify identity and authority before processing a request. You may designate an authorized agent where permitted by law, subject to verification and documentation requirements.

CA HOME LOANS is in the financial-services industry, and certain information or processing activities may be exempt from some state privacy laws by virtue of the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act, the Fair Credit Reporting Act, California Financial Information Privacy Act, and other applicable laws. Any rights described in this section apply only to the extent required by applicable law and are subject to exemptions, limitations, and verification requirements.

11. Sensitive Personal Information

We may collect and use sensitive personal information only as reasonably necessary to provide requested goods or services, support a mortgage or financial transaction, detect or prevent security incidents, resist fraudulent or illegal actions, ensure physical safety, perform services on our behalf, verify or maintain the quality or safety of our services and systems, comply with law, or otherwise as permitted by law. We do not use sensitive personal information for purposes requiring a separate right to limit unless applicable law requires that right based on our actual practices.

12. Retention

We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary and proportionate for the purposes for which it was collected and processed, including to provide services, support a transaction, maintain records, comply with legal, tax, regulatory, licensing, audit, security, and recordkeeping obligations, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, exercise or defend legal claims, and enforce agreements. Retention periods vary based on the nature of the information, the services requested, applicable law, contractual obligations, risk, and operational needs.

13. Information Security Summary

CA HOME LOANS maintains or works toward maintaining an information security program appropriate to the size and complexity of its operations, the nature of its activities, and the sensitivity of the information it handles. Our safeguards may include, where appropriate, designation of responsible personnel, written risk assessment, access controls, service provider oversight, multi-factor authentication or equivalent secure access controls, encryption or comparable safeguards where appropriate, training, secure disposal practices, incident response procedures, and periodic review and adjustment of controls.

For security reasons, CA HOME LOANS does not publish the full operational details of its internal written information security program, risk assessments, vendor management procedures, incident response procedures, or similar internal controls in this public-facing policy.

Although we use safeguards designed to reduce risk, no internet transmission, software platform, cloud provider, communication channel, or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure, and we do not guarantee absolute security.

14. Third-Party Links, Tools, and Platforms

Our website and communications may contain or rely on third-party links, portals, widgets, lead forms, calculators, maps, videos, ad platforms, social media tools, payment or document tools, embedded content, and other third-party services. We do not control the privacy or security practices of third parties, and your use of those services may also be governed by their own terms and privacy notices.

15. Do Not Track

Some browsers offer a "Do Not Track" setting. Because there is no universal standard governing how websites should interpret or respond to Do Not Track signals, our website may not respond to those signals in a uniform way. Third parties, including analytics, advertising, embedded-content, and social media providers, may collect information about your online activities over time and across different websites or services when you use our website or interact with our content.

16. Children's Privacy

Our website and services are intended for adults and are not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information online from children in a manner that would require parental consent under applicable law. If we become aware that information was collected improperly from a child, we will take reasonable steps to delete it as required or appropriate.

17. Changes to This Policy

CA HOME LOANS may revise this policy from time to time. If we do, we will update the Effective Date above. Changes become effective when posted unless otherwise stated. Continued use of our website or services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance to the extent permitted by law.
